About the Artist
Tanya is a professional aerialist and contemporary circus performer based out of Montreal, Quebec.
A gymnast since childhood, contemporary circus proved to be a more natural outlet for Tanya's creativity and flexibility than a career in engineering.... but it took a little time to realize it! So she has a BS in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a diploma of studies from Montreal's renowned National Circus School.
Tanya has performed with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize, Cirque Alfonse, Wonderbolt Circus, the Silver Starlets, and more, with a versatile career spanning four continents. At 5'10", Tanya brings both elegance and athleticism to every performance. Her unique presence on stage is unmistakable and always captivating.

Tanya's work offstage is a passion that has always paralleled her work on stage. An artist at heart and an engineer in the brain, Tanya's methods are based on adding brains to the beauty - using technique, organization and management as tools to further artistic expression. She works as a coach, artistic counselor, stage manager and project coordinator, and artistic director for contemporary circus.
